You’ll find plenty of convenient parking. Kathy will welcome you by name when you enter our office and help you process the patient forms (available on this website). Please download and fill out the patient forms as completely as possible so we can identify potential stresses that are overwhelming your body's ability to process then. We’ll likely show you a short 5-minute video and then you’ll meet with Zionsville Chiropractor, Dr. Gerald Whalen.

Consultation

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to dig deep into the cause of your inability to heal as you are innately designed to. We investigate how this is affecting your ability to live your life. We will discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is the appropriate choice for you. If it looks promising, a detailed examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Examination

Many patients comment on this being the most thorough exam they have ever received.We often find evidence of old injuries and conditions not recalled and reported in the consultation. Most of our procedures will be new to you. We use state-of-the-art technology, used by NASA and certified by the Space Foundation, to objectively evaluate patterns of spinal and nerve function.

We also use Kinesiology or muscle testing, Kinesiology uses functional assessment measures such as posture and gait analysis, manual muscle testing as functional neurologic evaluation, range of motion, static palpation, and motion analysis. All testing quantifies your current status and need for care. X-rays may be necessary. Please plan on being with us for approximately 60 minutes.

Care Plan

Dr. Whalen reviews the consultation and examination findings in extensive detail and determines what your individual care plan will involve. Your care plan is based on the latest pro-graduate studies and over 30 years of clinical experience taking care of thousands of patients. We will have all the test results ready to review with you on your second visit.
